We spent the weekend at Raffles the Plaza cos I felt like having a mini break.I reckon a break is always good no matter how long or short it is. It is really just an opportunity to switch off and do nothing but relax. Decided too that I did not want to check e-mails nor read any sms-es so left the Blackberry at home and HP was in the bag most of the time. Reckoned that if the family needed to call us, they would call Iz anyway so it would be fine for me not to have my phone. And it was great. I could just concentrate on have a whole weekend for the family. Though I came back tired, it was so nice to spend time with both Iz and the little fella doing things together. This time around, we really utilised the hotel stay and think we were in the room most of the time apart from going down for meals and a bit of shopping. I had fun preparing the bath and watching the little fella play in the bath too. It was like being in a heated swimming pool for him. He dosen’t swim around much nor like being on the float much so I guess being in the bath tub is more fun. And of course..there are also the bubbles to play with. I decided to give him a treat with some relaxing bubble therapy 
We redeemed our Feed at Raffles voucher so hotel stay was free. Our last stay there wasn’t that long ago so it was nice to see how the little fella interacts and amuses himself as he gets bigger. He certainly wasn’t as active the last time around. This time, he could climb up and down the bed… play with the bedside panels to open/close the curtains…sit through almost an entire movie( we watched ‘Annie’ on HBO)…chatter almost non-stop. I remember the last trip, the side table was around his eye level and this time around, it was already chin level. As usual, he refused to sleep in the cot so got up in the middle of the night to sleep with us on the bed.
All in all…a nice weekend spent!
