Nice!

We went to East Coast Park yesterday as Iz was involved in the launch of 10,000 Fathers Reading Campaign. I was hoping to catch a glimpse of a local celebrity footballer who was supposed to be part of the launch too. But nope, he did not turn up..hearsay is that he was injured! Sigh…but we had a quite a nice time despite the really soggy ground. Saw a couple of ex-colleagues too.

During the launch, the little fella was quite good up on stage except for one point when he saw me. He looked like he was going to burst into tears so I quickly made myself scarce. Despite all the big cameras and mics, he was rather good. Just looked shell-shocked! When I later made my way to the front of the stage again to take more pics, he signed ’scared scared.” But still he sat quietly whilst Iz was being interviewed. So kwai.

We did not stay much longer after the launch. I was more excited about going home to catch the news. And yes, the father-son duo did appear on the news! And for quite a while too. The little fella was so so excited seeing himself on telly…got a bit hyper after that and of course he slept late last nite cos he watched both the English and Mandarin news :) I am so proud of both father and son!Right after the news segment, my mobile rang and so did the house phone. It was of people telling us that they saw Daddy and son.
